The Finance Department is responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of the Village's financial resources.  The department provides relevant and timely financial data to the public and assures that the safeguarding of procurement practices are followed.  The department is also responsible for preparing the annual operating and capital budgets, forecasting revenues and expenditures with the assistance of department heads and other duties.

The Village has received the 2007 Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association.

As of November 1, 1999, the  Finance Department can now accept VISA or MasterCard credit cards for payment of your garbage fees, code enforcement fines, and building permit fees.  Additionally, payment for our recreation programs can be charged to your credit card as well.  Numerous requests by our residents, as well as recent changes in the banking and finance laws, have resulted in the Village re-instituting this payment option.
